Our Girl

Our Girl is a collaboration between myself and artist Tony Porto.

We created a 3-d piece, then swapped our projects with the intention (and permission) to use each other’s work to spark something new. Some people say this is brave, but we thought it was exciting and creative. Our only guideline was that we had to have fun.

Tony gave me this to respond to and rework. This is just one side of his pieces. My first reaction was, “Wow! I can’t wreck this, it’s too cool.” But then it came to me that it was a female, and I ran with the idea, bedecking “our girl” with a skirt, earrings and a headpiece.
